Let not your heart be stole
For that is the way
[Of this I am sure]
To keep from the deepest ill of life
– Save the saving of Jesus Christ,
Of that beautiful mystery- that is the true and surely the only WAY, I speak not
No, not of the greatest of greatest wonders do I include,
as I ramble on now in speech
So,
Hold nothing with gripped hands
Let not your heart be stole for nothing
Like a passing breeze, remember you are
So if once, but now forgotten,
despair not
but fleet and float and soar with the birds of the air
Let not your mind be confounded for nothing
Like a flowing river, remember you are
Give of yourself that the earth might be alive
But only for that, and nothing more
For the earth gives not to the water
[But the water must give to the earth]
And though once, will not always be of the same earth
So Sink not
But freely and verily flow on
with the fish
and that dear old crocodile
Again ,
Count on yourself and only yourself
Let not your heart be stole for nothing
Let not your mind be confounded for thinking
Save the beauty and wonder of Jesus
Of that incredible truth….
I speak not
